Position: Sales Engineer
Hayle Engineering is looking to hire a qualified, motivated, and results-oriented Sales Engineer who will also support the company’s procurement activities.
Qualification
- BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in sales, technical procurement, or industrial machinery is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for mechanical products and engineering services.
- Promote and sell mechanical equipment, machinery, and engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, proforma invoices, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers.
- Maintain strong and professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to meet customer and project requirements.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor assessments.
- Follow up on quotations, inquiries, and customer requirements to achieve sales targets.
Tender & Procurement Responsibilities
- Monitor relevant tender opportunities and identify suitable tenders for the company.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, eligibility requirements, and submission deadlines.
- Ensure that Hayle Engineering meets the eligibility requirements and is qualified to participate in relevant tenders.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of tender documents in accordance with tender requirements.
- Identify and source required materials, machinery components, spare parts, and other technical items.
- Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
- Compare supplier prices, quality, delivery schedules, and technical specifications.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
- Follow up on procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
- Maintain proper tender, procurement, and supplier records.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, and management teams regarding tender and procurement requirements.
- Support supplier evaluation and development activities.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Good understanding of procurement procedures and supplier management.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to prepare technical proposals, quotations, proforma invoices, and procurement documents.
- Strong customer and supplier relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of market analysis and business development.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
